As the winter season approaches, The Vail Valley in Colorado, transforms into a magical winter wonderland, attracting snow enthusiasts and adventure seekers from around the world. With its world-class ski slopes, charming village, and an array of fantastic restaurants, Vail offers an unforgettable experience for both locals and visitors alike. In this blog, we'll dive into the winter kickoff in Vail, highlighting some of the exciting events and restaurants you won't want to miss.

The season kicks off with Vail Apres | Revely Concert Series and Events: Starting Thanksgiving weekend, November 24th – November 26th, the Revely Concert Series is a vibrant and community-oriented event that celebrates the kickoff of the 2023-2024 ski season. Join us at the International Bridge in Vail Village starting at 2:30pm each day. There will also be an ice-skating show of Champion Figure Skaters taking place at the Arrabelle outdoor ice ring on November 25th and December 2nd. Along with the tree lighting at Arrabelle Square on Saturday, November 25th and a visit from Santa himself on November 26th at Arrabelle Square and at the International bridge on December 3rd, this kickoff has everything celebrate the season.

We are proud to announce that 5 Vail Valley Restaurants have earned recommendations in the coveted Michelin Guide! Colorado’s culinary scene has officially joined the ranks of fine dining in New York City, Chicago and Washington D.C. “These prestigious awards signify more than just a recognition for our restaurants; they symbolize a significant elevation of Colorado’s status on the global culinary map and the state’s steadfast dedication to sustainability,” said Tim Wolfe, director of the Colorado Tourism Office.

Sweet Basil, opened in Vail in 1977, is a legendary local establishment. The menu is eclectic, freely borrowing, and blending flavors from across the globe. Carefully mixed cocktails and a compelling wine list round out the abundant appeal.

Osaki’s, nestles in Vail, offers an intimate atmosphere where the quality shines through and isn’t covered up by superfluous sauces or flourishes. Purist mentality at it’s best is seen in the selection, not often found outside of very small regions in Japan.

Mirabelle located in Avon, situated just past the entrance to Beaver Creek Resort, Chef Joly brings his European training to bear on comforting classics as well as indulgences. Portions are generous, but saving room for dessert is a must!

Splendido at The Chateau in Beaver Creek you’ll find a thoughtful menu overseen by longtime chef Brian Ackerman. Walking the line between creative and classic, Ackerman is about creating a refined yet comfortable experience in a idyllic setting.

 Wyld located at The Ritz-Carlton in Bachelor Gulch, is a sophisticated restaurant offering Colorado’s culinary bounty vividly on display. Bold cooking techniques, local ingredients and seasonal flavors combine to produce a vibrant regional cuisine.
